In most cases interviews don't matter.

They may be a gut check to make sure that the student lines up with the resume but I don't think an interview can get you in if the committee wasn't already inclined to admit you.[/quote]

True, but isn't that a bad sign particularly at Yale if 90% of admitted applicants did get an interview? [/quote]
