For most kids who are into school spirit and watching sports, the key is whether a big (big enough) cohort of kids at the school share their interest in football/basketball/hockey/soccer/lacrosse etc. and actually show up to games. Plenty of ACC schools (possibly all??) fit that profile, including many that are far from national champion contenders. Thinking of Pitt, in particular here …. [/quote]
