MLK is one of the most important figures in American history. He persevered and never gave up. Not until a White man gunned him down. When the protests and police brutality were shown on TV the country was shocked to see what was going on in these Southern states and demanded change. The Civil Rights Act is one of the most successful bills passed. It’s take a committed racist to use executive power to eliminate people’s ability to enjoy a federal park on a federal holiday for free.
