Born and raised in DC and a woman I can and have done all of the above (I haven’t processed a deer but have a chicken and fish) with the exception of installing a well pump because I have had no need (public utilities so no well) I could do it with a YouTube video the proper tools and think that my other repair skills make up for it (HVAC, appliance and plumbing repair, car repair etc) they are hobbies and I consider it fun. Having said this, how does not having these skills make one “out of touch” if they are not relevant to your life? Building a shed and skinning a deer do not make someone in touch with anything other than those specific things. So maybe you should move.[/quote]
