Our Pitt tour experience was great, but the $15k merit doesn’t make it more affordable than UVA in state.[/quote] from our HS Pitt is for those who do not get into UVA or WM in state: the small merit is the bragging right of the parent to cover the fact they did not get in elsewhere. Auburn offers a lot of merit to VA students too, no one goes unless they do not get in uva or VT[/quote] Yes, they do attend Pitt if they get into another school if that other school is too expensive. My kid did not take the offer but others did. [/quote]
