I’m 39, so at that fun age where I’ve dated from 25-55. I’ve found 40ish is when men start to tank - they lose their sex drive, lose energy, tend to go on autopilot and just coast through the rest of their career. There’s a HUGE difference in the bedroom between a 35 year old and 45 year old. The sweet spot for me is 33-36, although right now I’m dating a really great 30yo. I worried about the lack of shared life milestones, but all of his friends are married with young kids, and he actively helps care for them, so he “gets” it so to speak.
Does this mean women who don't want to date anyone in their 30s are doomed to be with men who can't keep up?
Ha! I mean, I’m sure there are some 40s men who can. I know an 80yo man who still travels the world, works out daily, and has the energy of a much younger guy (can’t speak to what he’s like in bed, tho). Depends on your energy levels, too. I need someone I can go out with 2-3 times a week (OUT out, not just dinner out), train for marathons with, sex near daily, etc.
How old are you?
39, almost 40.
