Ranked? More kids apply to VT because it has popular programs - like engineering - that WM doesn’t have, and non-engineering programs have lower admission standards. For the liberal arts WM is better, both in actual experience and rigor and reputation. [/quote]

VT is better ranked than W&M if you want to cite UNSWR. Don’t cite USNWR to say UVA is better than UNC and Wisconsin if you can’t also acknowledge USNWR says VT is better than W&M. [/quote]

You cannot be serious.  Wisconsin has an outstanding academic reputation for undergraduate education and world class graduate schools.  That it’s not as selective in admissions doesn’t mean it’s not in UVA’s league.   Of course it is.  [/quote]
