It’s eclectic; Vassar, on the other hand, is very coherent architecturally and quite beautiful. And Middletown is not exciting, but it does offer a lot of student-friendly restaurants within a walk of campus and a general sense of place. There’s also a community hospital right there. It’s a good-sized town that helps avoid the feeling of remoteness that’s common at so many SLACs. I think what makes Wes special is its community and culture. My kid got a sense of that on the tour, so I’d encourage OP to visit if they haven’t already.[/quote]
