Scouts should pay. My sister was a girl scout in the early 2000s in FCPS and they had to pay to use the space. That is why one of the leaders started hosting meetings at her house. Most Boy Scout troops meet at local churches and they pay to have their meetings there. Why shouldn't FCPS go back to charging for space? Other orgs do it. Pay or just host it at a home.
Girl scouts is usually just small groups meeting up with a couple of larger meet ups for the entire troop and most of these do meet at the school or churches and dont pay for space or the cost is minimal. Boy scouts is usually a larger meeting for the entire troop which is hard to host anywhere other than an area with a lot of space. Luckily most churches will sponsor boy scouts as well as girl scouts.
