Do those jobs reports account for immigrants going home? If not, that is extra reason to fire BLS and DOL.
The jobs number don’t but the unemployment rate reflects immigrants leaving/being deported. It stayed at 4.2%, despite weak jobs number because there are fewer people looking for work.
Would an undocumented immigrant be entitled to unemployment. And if not, they would have never been counted in the numbers to begin with, soo not sure your statement is accurate.
Why are you confused? That is what he said. Unemployment rate didn't change, just like the number of jobs didn't really change 73,000 added. That would be consistent with the statistics above where 88% of jobs added over the past decade or so were immigrants. Furthermore, many of the immigrants would be within the system. They're called legal immigrants. They totally track h-1b. I don't think h-1b collect unemployment, they just have to go home.
