Yeah I have to agree here. What is the worst that could happen? And it seems like those of you with daughters are even worse. 
I showed up to college with some stuff I bought from Ikea on my own and a fridge I won in a raffle. My mother was not concerned about me forgetting something -- I wasn't camping in the wilderness and Target was down the street. [/quote]

Also agree. People grown when there is friction in their lives. It's necessary for growth. Obviously no need for him to hitch his way across the country but figuring out what he needs for his dorm and figuring out where to buy it, how to get it there, etc., is healthy. [/quote]
