I’d be interested to know who has “dropped their plans” and is planning to fly across the world to Australia. The other brother was already going to be there at that time, so it’s not him.

The biggest compromise I can think of would be to rebook your party, which itself would be incredibly annoying, and you might lose people who have plans otherwise on the new date, and then send your husband to go to the wedding by himself. He flies back the next day to make it home in time for the family dinner. Yes, he will be extremely tired, but that’s the choice HE needs to make, and then he can decide if it’s worth it to go to his brother’s wedding on the other side of the world.[/quote]
