We had a party on a very hot day and our great friends still turned up because they love us. We ran sprinklers for the kids… water stations, movies in the house. So they had a great time but every adult looked miserable and everyone left early. Our friends are FUN - we had plenty of cold drinks and adult beverages. It was the heat.

For contrast when we had a similar party in the spring everyone lingered. In hindsight we probably should have had more indoor seating options for the adults too. [/quote]
