No, I wouldn't go and I'm not a risk averse traveler and I have enjoyed Israel in the past. Chances are good they can make it in and out alive, that's not my worry, but what the heck do they think theyre going to do there right now? As friend who was supposed to go next week just canceled but originally was like, "the bomb shelters are solid." Cool, true. You want to spend your week long vacation in a bomb shelter? It's ill advised on many levels Im not going to gey into but even at the most basic and selfish just seems dumb and not fun.
There's no reason to anticipate any time in bomb shelters in any particular place, given that hostile forces capable of launching attacks have at this point been pretty much fully neutralized. Is the risk zero? No. Is the risk more than the risk of getting sick or of being in an accident? No. Reliable media reporting shows Israelis relaxing on the beaches and going about their daily routines uninterrupted. To all appearances, life is going on there as normal.
