Chances are good they can make it in and out alive, that's not my worry, but what the heck do they think theyre going to do there right now? As friend who was supposed to go next week just canceled but originally was like, "the bomb shelters are solid." Cool, true. You want to spend your week long vacation in a bomb shelter? It's ill advised on many levels Im not going to gey into but even at the most basic and selfish just seems dumb and not fun.

Everything’s relative. We live in DC which always struggles with crime, especially in summer. There have also been numerous attacks on Jews, Jewish institutions, threats, etc. including in DC area. It’s important for kids to see family and friends, etc. Existential threat from Iran vs. existential threat from a racist with a gun.
Wow, I can’t imagine choosing to be separated from my kids right now, knowing there is a high likelihood of being at least delayed from returning on schedule. Or worse. Can’t imagine what is going through your head, unless being with your kids is not really a priority for you.

This is the only acceptable answer.
Many do not subscribe to your neo-Nazi views, tho, and get their news from sources outside Tik-Tok.
Haaretz has a feature on the many children in Gaza killed by the monstrous Israelis. It’s a despicable country and it should be avoided until it no longer exists as a fascist religious ethno-state. So let’s not have threads about whether it’s a safe place for a fun, quick jaunt, unless we’re also prepared to talk about whether it was fun for Nazis to visit castles and drink beer during the Third Reich.
