After comparing the cultures of all of these places, my only takeaway is that when people dismiss things as flyover, they’ve never spent much time in the middle of the country or they have a chip on their shoulder about how nice certain aspects of flyover country can be. Buc-ee’s is clean, has good quality hot food, is a safe place for people of any background of color to stop for a break, and is friendly, welcoming and accessible. I can’t say the same about many fancier and more beautiful parts of the mid-Atlantic, Pacific NW, Europe or New England. As a mixed family we’re never the only ones who look like us in Buc-ee’s and that makes it a very appealing place to stop.[/quote] lol [/quote]
