I know someone who has a son at Gonzaga and she’s completely obsessed. Talks nonstop about it, flies the school flag on their porch, goes on and on about her son “thriving” at Gonzaga, purple heart and eagle emojis in every social media post, etc. It really is their entire family identity in a way I don’t observe with other schools.[/quote]

Is it shameful to like or even love your kid’s school? I don’t understand the angst and insults about families who are enthusiastic and are happy with their child’s educational experience. If it makes you uncomfortable, then that’s on you.

One of my kids is having a horrible school experience and I would be so happy if it was the opposite. There is something really wrong with society when people think it’s normal to make fun of others for being happy about something. [/quote]
