I follow the same IG and haven’t seen a single post saying their life goal is to be rich. As for Econ/Finance, those are the most popular majors among many grads and college students. Were you expecting that they join the seminary?

I absolutely love my kids’ schools (not Gonzaga) but don’t talk about or post obsessively about them. To me it is weird for parents to have their identities wired so hard to their kids’ high school.

I know someone who has a son at Gonzaga and she’s completely obsessed. Talks nonstop about it, flies the school flag on their porch, goes on and on about her son “thriving” at Gonzaga, purple heart and eagle emojis in every social media post, etc. It really is their entire family identity in a way I don’t observe with other schools.

Is it shameful to like or even love your kid’s school? I don’t understand the angst and insults about families who are enthusiastic and are happy with their child’s educational experience. If it makes you uncomfortable, then that’s on you.

One of my kids is having a horrible school experience and I would be so happy if it was the opposite. There is something really wrong with society when people think it’s normal to make fun of others for being happy about something.

Agree 100%! My son just graduated from Gonzaga and it was the best 4 years - the school, administration, families and boys are the best of the best. I'm sad it'sover but so happy he experienced a wonderful 4 years of high school.

These are 12th grade boys who have worked very hard, just like seniors at all other schools (public and private) to obtain college admissions and are celebrating their achievements. It is shameful to make a thread insulting them or any students for that matter. WITW is wrong with you?

I think it’s good that they are choosing career paths that will generate higher incomes. Especially important in the DC area where cost of living is so high.

God may or may not be purple, but the faces of parents who breathlessly talk nonstop about their sons going Gonzaga are definitely purple.

I don’t know any parents who didn’t drink the kool aid.
