Anonymous wrote:I absolutely love my kids’ schools (not Gonzaga) but don’t talk about or post obsessively about them. To me it is weird for parents to have their identities wired so hard to their kids’ high school.

The school decides what they want to put out to the world on social media, though.
It is t the school’s social media. The students run these accounts. They are not official or managed by the schools in any way.

Yes heaven forbid people like the school their kid goes to...and say so in a thread that asks for opinions...?
It’s great to like your child’s school. Gonzaga parents make it part of their personality. Come on now, that is really weird.
Examples?
I know someone who has a son at Gonzaga and she’s completely obsessed. Talks nonstop about it, flies the school flag on their porch, goes on and on about her son “thriving” at Gonzaga, purple heart and eagle emojis in every social media post, etc. It really is their entire family identity in a way I don’t observe with other schools.

What’s weird is your focus on a school your kids don’t attend.
How do you know PPs son doesn’t attend Gonzaga? I’m guessing he does and PP just didn’t drink the kool aid.
