I am a man and I don’t have any problems with traditional feminism at all. Equality and removing structural barriers that were based on gender alone were neccessary and long overdue changes to our society. The main thing that bothers me today is how it all played out. Rather than creating a more feminine society that prioritizes family and a balanced home/work life we ended up with women who started to act like the worst men. We needed a softer society and we ended up with the opposite.
Definition of equality: the right of different groups of people to have a similar social position and receive the same treatment Why would you think equality would make a more feminine society? Men traditionally have held all the wealth and power. By definition, equality puts to put women in a similar social position to men. Any woman with any sense knows that femininity doesn’t square with getting into equal footing as men. Throwing the term femininity around in this context is code for anti equality. How about the men be the ones to create a softer society?
