Those scented bags are a close #2 to those god awful plug-ins.  But also, it's not about the trash bags. You could have returned them and purchased the correct one instead of expecting your wife to do so or deal with them.
I know which products my husband likes, or which makes his skin irritated or whatever.  If he brought home scented trash bags, it's because he hasn't paid attention to know that those [b]irritate my allergies[/b].  You should think about your own part in your marriage, and schedule some counseling if you think it's just a miserable wife. I can almost guarantee you it's not about the trash bags and it's some other repeated behavior in your marriage that's the problem. [/quote]

I am not the PP. I'm a woman who can detect BS from a mile away. The PP I responded to is 100% the reason she is miserable,

There is nothing faint about the scent of them. They give me (and lots of people) headaches. It doesn’t really matter whether you believe that to be true or not. Partners try to be helpful and take preferences into account. I cook my husbands steak medium because he likes it medium. If I cooked it well and said “get over yourself” it wouldn’t be a good look for a partner either.  A lot of small stuff in the way you treat and respect your partner is what makes up a good marriage. Again, it’s not about the trash bags. Contempt kills marriages.

Dudette. He considered his wife and ordered the correct trash bags. You assumed ill intent and instead of roiling with the punches desired to throw a hissy fit (oh, excuse me, “allergies”). You’re the one with contempt. You’re the one who chooses to be miserable and assumes the worst about your spouse’s intentions.[/quote]
