The US version is more feel good than the UK version.  Both are fine shows worth watching, they're just different.  The OP said they were looking for something more escapist and I'd say the US one is more fitting for that.  They both get a wee bit repetitive, more the US one.[/quote]

I would agree with this assessment. After starting with the US version, I found a couple of the ghosts in the UK version a bit dull.[/quote]
