In reality people live where they do because that's what they can afford or that's where their spouse's job is or, sometimes, because they need to be close to something like a specialty school or aging parents. Most people can't just relocate their family for a job, especially given how unreliable jobs are these days. OP, I would start job hunting anyway - not because your boss is going to cause an issue, but because 1:15 each way is no picnic to begin with.[/quote]
