Trump killed NIOSH, the ones with labs that test masks. There go masks. Your doctor will spread germs during your surgeries now. Hope MAGA enjoys the bacteria.
Doctors don't wear N95s.
Doctors and nurse have always in recent memory worn N95s when treating people with suspected or confirmed cases of varicella (chickenpox), tuberculosis (TB), meningococcal disease, measles, and others. Worldwide, there are additional infections like ebola that require N95 protection for the healthcare provider, and with international travel what it is, they are donned when there are suspected cases of rare disorders (or if there is some severe but as yet unidentified illness to treat). Surgeons wear N95s during surgery when there is going to be expected significant surgical smoke or plumes, such as cutting through a lot of bone tissue (or, of course, if the patient is afflicted with the above microorganisms).
