X1000 they literally won’t care. Also, Trump has said he’s rolling back enforcement, and people won’t have the time and $$ to sue. The company will bankrupt them. A friend of mine got screwed by WAWA because she tried to register a name that had a WA sound in it for a product they would never sell in a million years. They basically said thru the lawyer they would bankrupt her. Little people don’t win. Ever.

No, I do not think companies will maintain regulatory standards. They do not care about anything beyond making a buck.

Of note, this is not just about quality of masks like that protect healthcare workers or firefighters, but also other PPE such as ensuring gowns are properly vetted as protecting from chemical splash.

I work in healthcare and my brother is a firefighter. I do want my tax dollars paying for third party quality testing. Company self reporting of it's own quality is obviously going to be flawed. This should not be debatable.

Doctors and nurse have always in recent memory worn N95s when treating people with suspected or confirmed cases of varicella (chickenpox), tuberculosis (TB), meningococcal disease, measles, and others. Worldwide, there are additional infections like ebola that require N95 protection for the healthcare provider, and with international travel what it is, they are donned when there are suspected cases of rare disorders (or if there is some severe but as yet unidentified illness to treat).

Surgeons wear N95s during surgery when there is going to be expected significant surgical smoke or plumes, such as cutting through a lot of bone tissue (or, of course, if the patient is afflicted with the above microorganisms).

You're ignorant. NIOSH tests masks for firefighters, too. Maybe learn the extent of what they do and educate yourself.
