Petite woman here who recently bought a Mazda without my husband. Financed 0.9% through the dealer, no money down, 3k off MSRP. Declined all extras. Couldn’t have taken more than 15 minutes start to finish. Some of you really need to work on your resting btch faces.
Different dealerships behave differently. I am also a woman, and the worst experience I ever had was at a Mazda dealership, and I walked away. Every trick in the book, including calling my cell and cursing me out when I actually walked out and away from the deal. I actually had to threaten to call the police because they wouldnt give me back my car that they were “evaluating for trade in”. The best experience I had was at a Mazda dealership 10 miles from the first one. Negotiated a price, paid it, walked out with a car. You can have a good experience where you may have had to just decline a couple of things or you can have ones that are like a hostage situation. You probably aren’t as awesome and commanding as you think you are.
Bingo! And the point of the thread is bad car dealers, not people who think the reason they weren’t hassled is because they’re better at buying a car!
