I'm sure it was a miserable period, and that trying to divorce a billionaire must have been stressful. I also get OP's point that who cares, she has billions and her life is sunshine and roses compared to nearly everyone else in the world. But Melinda Gates has tried to help poor women all over the world. I think she can both be highly privileged and have had a difficult time with her divorce without being labeled "whiny."
