Thank goodness MCPS has a staffing policy that identifies schools/class cohorts with populations of more heterogeneous ability, regardless of economic status, and assigns additional staff there to allow for the differentiation needed to provide equitable experiences across schools to students of similar abilities.

They are not serving gifted students well despite state law. They said they were bringing ELC to all schools to make up for the lack of seats at CES and yet that turned into “ELC for all” (which doesn’t work when you still have students struggling to read) and now nothing at all. [/quote]
