First it was desegregation that was going to destroy America. And then for a long time it was gay people.

Now it’s trans people and gender identity. Parents flip out about how it’s a perversion to teach kids about this stuff. But I can say first hand it’s truly nbd if you don’t make it one.

It starts young — sure boys can wear dresses. Everyone gets to wear what makes them feel good.

Then you can talk about how sometimes people’s insides don’t match their outsides. They were born a girl, but feel more like a boy so they like to use a name and pronouns that feel right.

My kids are mid/upper elementary now and know about these things but do not really care. We have a trans neighbor. They had a few questions at first when they learned this like 2 years ago, but it has come up exactly zero times ever since. Kids are self centered and won’t freak out about what other people do unless they’re taught it somehow affects them.

Can’t wait until history looks back on these hateful parents for what they truly are.[/quote]
