Eggs are a staple in a lot of American cooking, and have been for a long time. You're asking most of the country to make a pretty drastic shift in their diet, when many of them depend on eggs as a formerly cheap protein, at a time when the cost of groceries has skyrocketed. It's not as simple as "just don't use eggs!" Dummy. [/quote]

Welcome to rationing, since stores are putting limits on egg purchases.  People can eat peanut butter as long as they don't have allergies.

What a great solution! Hear that everyone? You can have as many eggs as you want so long as you visit the grocery store every single day to buy more. Thanks Trump! I guess bread lines won't be a problem either because all you have to do is wait in line every single day. Since so many people are losing their jobs, they'll have nothing but time for stuff like feeding their families.
