That’s less than 40 cents per egg.
They cost more than they used to, but in terms of a high quality protein source, that is still a bargain.
Be sure to tell everyone that the higher prices Trump promised to fix on his first day are really no big deal - everything is fine, no it's great. Planes aren't crashing, economies aren't crashing, we aren't in stupid pointless wars with former friends and allies from all over the world
And we have these reassuring words from ol JD

Eggs are a staple in a lot of American cooking, and have been for a long time. You're asking most of the country to make a pretty drastic shift in their diet, when many of them depend on eggs as a formerly cheap protein, at a time when the cost of groceries has skyrocketed. It's not as simple as "just don't use eggs!" Dummy.
Welcome to rationing, since stores are putting limits on egg purchases. People can eat peanut butter as long as they don't have allergies.
MAGA, baby!
The rationing isn’t real. You can go back each day for more eggs if you wish.

That's false. Canada exports eggs to the US and does not rely on the US. But even those exports are a small number. The countries were mostly self sufficient until avian flu in the US.

Yes Canada exported about 40 million dozen last year to the USA, and the USA exported about 180 million dozen to Canada.
That’s 140 million dozen eggs that we could use for ourselves.
Maybe learn to count before you make your next post.
140 million dozen eggs per year is less than 1 egg per person per month. That's 1% of production/consumption.

Probably a few dollars a month, we will survive! They will breed more chickens, but it will take some months.
The aluminum tariffs will be much worse, but people don’t notice them the same way.

I do agree with you about using fewer eggs. However, this was one of the things that Biden was blamed for, and something that Trump said he would fix. So I have no problem with people complaining about eggs.
The poor will use fewer eggs. The rich will just complain and keep paying. I know I will.
That’s how capitalism works! My fridge is full of eggs.
