VDA dad I wish, my kid would never be able to crack that lineup. I am GA dad questioning viability of a leagues that grows too fast and loses what it was created for. GAL was a girls academy league not an acronym a statement. Given the unsavory nature it appears of why these clubs like NVA are chooising their boys over girls and throwing them GA like a bone, I do not like. GAL was suppossed to be the girls league for girls with not influence nor involvement from the boys side. This is not longer true at all these new GA clubs becuase MLSN is the priority period!
That's an interesting comment. I too was attracted to GA (specifically FCV) a few years ago because it was focused on girls. The fact that the league's recent "success" is the result of clubs prioritizing their boys programs over their girls programs risks undermining that original cultural quality.
You guys still won’t answer the question. How are the girls being sacrificed here? GA is till putting girls in college and they are a separate entity than mls next. ECNL clubs out side of the top 20 would go to $#!+ if it wasn’t for that ECNL badge. You guys are despicable.
GA is not putting girls in college except for the top of the roster. Ecnl gets almost the entire roster.
Where’s the proof? only the top 20 clubs are lol. You think Pittsburgh riverhounds are putting more than 5 kids in college per team?
Pittsburgh Riverhounds Class of 2024: Marist Pittsburgh Coastal Carolina Bowling Green High Point Maryland That's six, which is more than five. What you think of the schools or soccer programs is not important. Your original statement was the club isn't putting more than five girls in college.
Is that all of their 2024 recruits? Yikes. Would've expected more.
If this is all for 2024s then this is quite low and proves the point above. Most ECNL teams have almost their entire roster committed.
