Girl 9 on an ordinary GA team is not getting recruited heavily. Same girl even as girl 14 on an ECNL is being recruited --- even D1 options. That is the issue that GA is facing.

If you're the most talented player you're gonna go to camps and guest play. There's more than one way to skin a cat. Any decent college coach can say hey, that 9 finishes very well, is always in the right spot, etc... Then they'll say hey, come out to our ID so they can pair them with their midfield to see if the same results translate. Basic recruiting...

ID Camps are for making money. Not recruiting.
