That's an interesting comment. I too was attracted to GA (specifically FCV) a few years ago because it was focused on girls. The fact that the league's recent "success" is the result of clubs prioritizing their boys programs over their girls programs risks undermining that original cultural quality.
You guys still won’t answer the question. How are the girls being sacrificed here?
GA is till putting girls in college and they are a separate entity than mls next.
ECNL clubs out side of the top 20 would go to $#!+ if it wasn’t for that ECNL badge. You guys are despicable.
GA is not putting girls in college except for the top of the roster. Ecnl gets almost the entire roster.
You're right. GA is not putting girls in college nor is ECNL... My oh my, how on earth were girls getting to college before our lord and savior ECNL showed up in the DMV![]()
ummm ECNL girls are doing fine with college. Not sure your point.
The point is that the players talent gets them in to college. You get it now?
Well no. Talent only gets you so far in life. You could be the most talented soccer player in the US but playing in NCSL and no one would know it. Talent is needed but so is the marketing. Girl 9 on an ordinary GA team is not getting recruited heavily. Same girl even as girl 14 on an ECNL is being recruited --- even D1 options. That is the issue that GA is facing.
If you're the most talented player you're gonna go to camps and guest play. There's more than one way to skin a cat. Any decent college coach can say hey, that 9 finishes very well, is always in the right spot, etc... Then they'll say hey, come out to our ID so they can pair them with their midfield to see if the same results translate. Basic recruiting...
ID Camps are for making money. Not recruiting.

Where’s the proof? only the top 20 clubs are lol. You think Pittsburgh riverhounds are putting more than 5 kids in college per team?
Pittsburgh Riverhounds Class of 2024:
Marist
Pittsburgh
Coastal Carolina
Bowling Green
High Point
Maryland
That's six, which is more than five. What you think of the schools or soccer programs is not important. Your original statement was the club isn't putting more than five girls in college.
Is that all of their 2024 recruits? Yikes. Would've expected more.
