Atheist here and I wouldn’t care. Maybe some atheists do? That doesn’t mean all do, and I know that I don’t.

I'm the PP whose mom was told God gave her sister cancer by a Christian.  Never once has an atheist told me God was punishing someone in my family who was ill.  Meanwhile I very clearly remember Christians blaming natural disasters and plane crashes on sin.[/quote]

The Bible doesn’t support what you were told; that Christian was Biblically incorrect.
