[/quote] 5 points generally would not get you the job if you do not have other qualifications. It shows that you gave up (usually) at least two years of your life to your government. And, it gives you more skills than you realize. I don't know how the civil service rating system works. I'm guessing you get points for a degree, experience, etc.[/quote]
