It's not (most) teachers' poor planning. Teachers are required to take late work up until the end of their duty day on Tuesday. This can result in hundreds of late papers needed to be graded and put into the gradebook by the time the gradebook closes. That does not even take into account all of the other things that need to be done, especially in high school, to prep for the change of semester.[/quote]

And all those snow days just made for more work coming in last minute.

And of course OP would be complaining if their kid’s teachers cut things off earlier to get the grading done sooner and their little darling wasn’t learning/being productive until the very end of the semester. Troll. [/quote]
