[/quote] I’m not the PP, but there is a difference between whether or not you find something morally objectionable and whether or not something is illegal. I was shocked myself to learn that the age of consent is 16 in 30 states, including MD. A 16 year old can get married if they want. This is one of many reasons why the police don’t want citizens trying to take the law into their own hands. These men lured a guy to their house thinking they were catching a pedophile, assaulted him, spit on him, demeaned him, and it turns out the guy wasn’t doing anything illegal, even if what he was trying to do is morally objectionable to most people.
