Unsure what's going on at SYC, here's another coach change for the SYC MLS Next boys teams again. It changed at the start of the season and now possibly changed again.
What age group(s)?
2010 they are imploding, that age group was good
Just a forced change on coaching. The team has only lost one game this season. The are ahead of DC United. Not sure why you say they are imploding? That is not true at all, the new coach is very good as well.
See! Winning is the focus of SYC. Don’t expect any development, just lots of social media posturing. If your player is just an ok player and want to ride the coattails of a winning MLSNext team, SYC is for you. If you have a long term goal for your player to play in college or more and actually get playing time, do not go to SYC.
How does this post make sense at all? You must still be drunk after the elections.
It’s true, very few SYC players get keep up with the competition once everyone catches up with speed and size.
That's a general statement. 2010 seemed to have kept up with DC United u15 team pretty well the last time they met. The matches are always close when these two age groups play against each other.
I don’t doubt that there are some amazing players on SYC. They’d be good regardless of club. But it’s the rest who are not getting developed bc there are no opportunities to use whatever skills they’ve developed on their own. SYC doesn’t attempt to play possession-based soccer which is what you play if you want players to practice using their skills under pressure. Can you share what SYC’s game style/philosophy is?
