I remain impressed by what she accomplished despite her obvious flaws. My favorite parts of the documentary: Learning that she painted an entire house by herself—impressive! Watching her berate the person for cutting the orange with the wrong knife ;0) I think the fact that she is a legit friend of Snoop speaks volumes; she must be an interesting and cool person IRL.
That was really something. They did mention that footage was from when she was waiting to be sentenced, so she was under crazy stress. think that scene really epitomized the point they were making about how she needs control, and when she can’t have it, she can be quite critical and unhappy. Like, she couldn’t even just let someone cut an orange in a “less efficient” way without taking over! It made me wonder what life has been like for her daughter. I would have liked to hear more about that. But I also felt empathy for Martha in that moment, and all the anger, humiliation and fear she must have been experiencing with her pending incarceration.
