I already voted, and a lot of women I know have already voted, but we surely were not motivated to turn out by abortion. We were motivated to turn out by the last four years of this terrible economy and border crisis. The contention of liberals that women are all single issue abortion voters is so tiring.
“ I’m not worthy of full rights and bodily autonomy. Let stronger and smarter men be the steward of what is best for me and my daughters.”
I'm smart enough to use appropriate birth control, choose a mature and caring partner who respects me and our children, and use my God-given brains wisely. No one else is my steward. Speak for yourself.
No. Since you are abdicating your voice, I’ll let the men you are choosing to give your rights to, speak for you. The majority of the office holders in the Republican Party are/were bankers and business men before holding office. Some were military or police. You are wise to defer to their best judgement. Their success in business, and strong Christian faith, give them unique insight into your daughter’s healthcare. They are best suited to decide if she should receive life saving care. You lack the imagination to envision a scenario where a woman would need reproductive healthcare, even in the event of a wanted pregnancy, so of course you shouldn’t be involved. Trump is right to kick it back to the states, where your local representative, who owns car dealerships, can make these decisions. It takes immense self awareness to critically assess your limitations and know when to acquiesce to your betters. Kudos to you.
