I guess it did not if you didn't know the background. Weiss didn't run in the Dems caucus. Kathleen and Zuraya did and won, so they picked up the Dem endorsement.

I know the background.  I didn't understand why the poster was saying it's ok not to run in the Dem caucus but then in the same sentence saying it's not ok to "not run" and then say you are a Dem.  I think PP is actually saying it's never ok to skip the Dem caucus if you want to say you are a Dem.  If you lose that caucus, you arent allowed to run as a Dem.  So someone who is a Dem but doesn't think they can win the caucus would do better not to run in that ridiculous little race that hardly anyone votes in.[/quote]
