Can someone share an “over the top” email?
Subscribe to their emails. You will get one immediately and know exactly what everyone means.
If you're curious but don't want to subscribe, go to their website and click on the About Republicans page: https://www.penzeys.com/shop/about-republicans/ This will give you a pretty good idea of the tone of their emails. There's usually a political musing followed by a sales pitch for spices. FWIW I usually agree with him, but find it really strange to have such outspoken political rantings embedded in product advertising.
That post seems very normal. It’s not over the top. They describe how they believe in conservative values but Trump doesn’t stand for any conservative values.. no sh!t Chet! So you just feel bad about the messaging not that they are over the top. As suspected.
This is the problem in the current environment. People feel the need to police and make their own decision on what someone else is allowed to find offensive. You can be both totally against Trump AND not a fan of the Penzey’s emails.
Actually, Your response is the problem With the current environment. There are facts and opinions, and you don’t know the difference. The emails are “over the top”… This is a statement of fact, not opinion. The fact is, they are not over the top. If they were to say Ext I don’t like getting emails about politics when I’m trying to buy spices, that would be an opinion or a statement of preference. The fact Is that the statement posted is not only not over the top it is quite measured and very thoughtful. If you can’t see that you’ve lost all perspective which again is one Problem with the current environment and the problem with what propaganda does to the brains of Republicans that follow Trump. Not Conservatives because conservatives don’t follow Trump or RINOS who also have not lost their mind.
You don’t seem to understand fact v. opinion. “Over the top” is absolutely a matter of opinion. Legally. Honestly I am a Trump voter and I buy Penzey’s spices on occasion. I don’t care if the owner is a bit of a loon. He might not care for my business, but he’s flavoring my food anyway!
