[/quote] UVa is ranked #38 in engineering...Virginia Tech #31[/quote] the rankings sometimes relate to grad-school training. In addition they do not include average intelligence of the students nor the ratings of what math classes are offered. That matters to those of us with doctorates or who have knowledge of the stem fields. Rankings are only useful if you care about the criteria used. Many do not care about how much a school boosts pell grant kids or how large the size of the program is. [/quote]
