You don't miss a chance to show up with your spin as soon as DC United surfaces on the forum. Based on the rules, how are a "bunch of local kids playing for other MLS Club Academies"? Every academy in the world loses out on talented kids since they can't have 65 on a roster. One day, you're just going to have to accept like many others that your kid just wasn't good enough or a good fit! Don't be mad with the mirror, it's just your reflection.
It's ok to be wrong, you obviously need to go read the current homegrown rules. There ARE a bunch of locals playing at other academies, even more this year since MLS moved from u15/u17 to U16/U18 ages. They are at academies with a better program in fact. (Philly Union, NYRB, RSL, etc) One day, you're going to have to accept that DCU just isn't great compared to the other academies. Which one are you, you work at DCU or are a parent?
I'm neither. Just a local that supports local and challenge people with obvious axe to grind. I guarantee you can't produce rosters of MLS Club Academies outside DC that have several DMV kids (those regions don't have good players?) You have an agenda and liberally use gross exaggerations and untruths.
