1. He can drop out now and expunge the grade and retake Geometry next year.

2. He can continue and pass the course and expunge the grade and still move on to Algebra 2 in 8th grade. 
 
3. Not sure about arguing with the teacher. DS has a harsh grader in summer geomtry as well. He had a 102 in Algebra 1 but is hovering around 97-98 so far. [/quote]

If your kid has a 102 in any class, the conclusion is that it’s not a real class, because 102 is not actually a real grade, just some BS modern feel-good grade inflation.  Sorry.[/quote]

Actually, this is the ONLY valid reason for offering extra credit.  Anything over 100% is indicative of a BS class catering to Type A competitive parents who cannot accept that their special snowflakes aren’t actually perfect.[/quote]
