This isn't true. Emory is a low target along with Berkeley, Williams, Amherst  etc. Also there's plenty of Goldman Sachs workers from all of these schools, and I know IB students from Emory that had a 3.3-3.5. [/quote]

Yes - it is true. As it says very clearly - there are exceptions. But it will take exceptional grades, grit and connections to burst through into New York Bulge Bracket banks. Sure they can work at regional banks but not the Tier 1 and Tier 2. Youre not beating top 10 and diversity candidates. It aint happening.[/quote]
This is not true. There are non big banks in Atlanta or Nashville. Citi bank and BOA, where Emory and Vandy send their grads, do not have investment operations in Atlanta and Nashville. And as I said you really only need a 3.5 to get an internship, after that it's all about performance at the internship that gets you the job. [/quote]
