I've told this story here before, but my overly sheltered kid was horrified by New London when we went for a college visit...until we ran him by Trinity on the way back to the airport. Never heard another word about the former.  :lol: [/quote]

Well, DCUM in general probably a different opinion, and there are certain neighborhoods I wouldn't walk around in at night, but I never personally felt unsafe. It's more just old and worn and my kid was sheltered, especially from working class New England life. (He ended up there despite that, so I guess he got over it.)[/quote]
