Because some refs are just terrible. They’re being paid. They aren’t WWII Veterans who should be honored.

Do a good job, call a safe and fair game and you won’t get yelled at.

It’s OK to abuse anyone that’s getting paid. Right. Just like that barista that got your coffee order wrong, or the waiter that didn’t get your order perfect. [/quote]

Apples and oranges there - if i order a turkey club with no mayo and the server brings it out with mayo i'm returning it and letter them know they got my order wrong. I'm paying for a service and I'm not going to waste my hard earned money because someone can't do their job properly.  It sounds like you'd roll over and eat the sandwich to avoid confrontation.

That same expectation doesn't apply to referrees, I'm not paying them directly so i have no say.[/quote]
