Remember the one of the jurors recently stayed that she knew he did it, they all did, but they were getting revenge for the Rodney King stuff. Pathetic.
I've heard TV commentators say this over the years, but never heard it from an actual juror. For me, the major reason OJ got off was Fuhrman. He wasn't good for the prosecution. The prosecution didn't have all their "ducks in a row". Imagine the controversy there would have been if OJ had been convicted and the character of Fuhrman had been revealed after the trial.
Without Rodney king, Oj still would’ve walked. Next time don’t hire a Nazi loving anti black, anti interracial relationship detective as the lead detective for a famous black celebrity’s criminal case . That leaves a huge window and huge catnip for defense attorneys to explore the cracks in the ceiling and present a case of reasonable doubt . There were also other major mistakes like Marcia Clark overemphasizing the DV incidents and diaries . The defense focused more so on the forensics and timeline and provided a good reasonable explanation beyond the glove that OJ possibly couldn’t have done this alone beyond a reasonable doubt
You forgot to put the words."unscrupulous".and "conniving" in front.of defense.attorneys.
Furhman was just as unscrupulous and conniving. The attorneys are paid to be conniving. I don’t think Ojs defense was that great . I think the prosecution was just really bad . Like horribly sad. Furhman as lead detective was a mistake. Marcia Clark and Darden didn’t even have the same explanation of events. One of them said Oj was enraged seeing Nicole and Ron together , and the other I believe Clark said Ron walked in on the killing and was a victim of wrong place, wrong time. Cochran was able to point this contradiction to the jury. It doesn’t take anything canniving to do this. Just doing your job as a defense atty. The prosecution failed miserably. They didn’t even know that Cochran was going to present the glove and make OJ try it on. Everything was just an unfortunate fail on their end
