Both were a part of it, but Johnny Cochran used every trick in the book to get OJ off.
Disgusting legacy.
Johnny Cochran was a brilliant attorney who did his job very well. You are such a hater.

But his job was to let a man who murdered the mother of his children, and an innocent stranger get away with that crime. And he played the race card to do it. They even told OJ not to take his arthritis medication so the gloves would not fit.
Would you post that Hitler did his job well?
The case went through the legal system and a fair trial, Cochran did his job well. His role was to be OJ’s defense attorney. I don’t understand why you’re mad at him, and what more you expected him to do. Did you prefer him to not do his job well?
If you feel OJ is guilty based on the evidence presented during the case, then you should be mad at the prosecutors for not doing their jobs well enough.
Your anger at Cochran is strange and misplaced. It’s like you’re mad at him for being an attorney and doing the job he was paid to do.

For me, the major reason OJ got off was Fuhrman. He wasn't good for the prosecution. The prosecution didn't have all their "ducks in a row". Imagine the controversy there would have been if OJ had been convicted and the character of Fuhrman had been revealed after the trial.
Without Rodney king, Oj still would’ve walked. Next time don’t hire a Nazi loving anti black, anti interracial relationship detective as the lead detective for a famous black celebrity’s criminal case . That leaves a huge window and huge catnip for defense attorneys to explore the cracks in the ceiling and present a case of reasonable doubt . There were also other major mistakes like Marcia Clark overemphasizing the DV incidents and diaries . The defense focused more so on the forensics and timeline and provided a good reasonable explanation beyond the glove that OJ possibly couldn’t have done this alone beyond a reasonable doubt
You forgot to put the words."unscrupulous".and "conniving" in front.of defense.attorneys.

Johnny Cochrane was a defense lawyer working to defend OJ. He was supposed to use every trick in the book to get OJ off. The fact that he did get OJ off the hook means that he did a good job.
We get the type of attorney he was. He didn't have concern for the victims. Just do whatever trickery it took to get OJ off.
Not sure why Cochran is solely blamed when Oj had an entire starting line of attorneys. It’s not his fault the detective admitted to Nazi memorabilia in his home. planting drugs on black men ,and saying the n word in the past .
Cochran didn’t orchestrate the defense. The LAPD whistleblowers ratted Furhman out with old tapes. OJ got lucky by way of LAPD incompetence
