I didn’t know where was an expectation to give a grad gift to girlfriend… I mean I understand it’s your choice but I think it wouldn’t occur to me… is it something many people do?
I was wondering the same thing. My parents were very old school about these things. They didn’t like us accepting any expensive gifts from guys we were dating and they didn’t really get that involved with meeting significant others unless it was someone you were that serious that it was on the marriage track. We also didn’t have a lot of money. I personally would have felt uncomfortable with a $150 grad gift from college boyfriend’s family and it wouldn’t occur to me to do so for the significant other of my kids (daughters).
